PRIME Minister Mwigulu Nchemba has ordered the suspension of the travel documents of the contractor from Tunnel Sadd Ariana Company (Ariana Co) following failure to execute the construction of the Eyasi Dam located in Karatu District, Arusha Region.
Dr Mwigulu issued the order in March 6, 2025, while inspecting the progress of the dam. He stated that the contractor had already received an advance payment of 3 billion Tanzanian shillings for the project but failed to fulfill their obligations.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the government will not hesitate to take action against any contractor who fails to perform their duties after receiving public funds. He underscored that strict legal measures will be enforced to protect government resources and ensure that development projects are implemented within the planned timelines.
