Africa-Press – Tanzania. PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassa on Sunday fired three cabinet ministers in a min-cabinet reshuffle.
She fired Energy Minister Dr. Medard Kalemani further appointing January Makamba to head the Ministry.
A Statement from the Directorate of Presidential Communications said the Head of State had also fired Dr. Faustine Ndugulile, the Minister for Communication and Information Technology, and appointed Dr. Ashantu Kijaji to fill the position.
Dr. Kijaji now becomes Minister for Information, Communication and Information Technology, detaching the Information Section from the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports that is headed by Innocent Bashungwa.
The statement detailed that the President had also sacked the Minister for Works and Transport, Dr. Leonard Chamuriho, and appointed former Minister for Water Prof Makame Mbarawa to the docket.
Meanwhile, the President appointed Dr. Eliezer Feleshi to be the Attorney General. Dr. Feleshi was the Principle Judge at the High Court of Tanzania and he replaces Prof. Adelardus Kilangi who has been appointed ambassador.
