Africa-Press – Tanzania. President Samia Suluhu Hassan has asked all religious leaders in the country to remind their congregations on the importance of abiding to the Health Ministry’s directives as the world fights to contain the third Covid-19 wave.
The President emphasized on the need for Tanzanians to abide with the guidelines on Friday when she was addressing the Roman Catholic Church’s Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) members at Kurasini in Dar es Salaam.
“I urge you Bishops…..don’t forget to remind your worshippers on the importance of protecting themselves and taking all precautions as per the Health Ministry…” President Samia emphasized.
“Since prevention is better than cure,” the President added “we should not stop using all the means to keep us safe against Covid-19.”
She advised citizens to turn to God and ask him for protection against all sorts of diseases including the pandemic.
“Let us pray to God and pray to him to continue protecting us from diseases, especially this Covid-19 pandemic… He is omnipotent,” she said.
