In her message, the Head of State wished citizens a joyful and blessed Easter, encouraging them to reflect on the teachings and actions of Jesus Christ, particularly his values of love, mercy, forgiveness and selflessness.
“As we celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, let us remember and uphold his teachings and deeds of compassion, love, forgiveness and sacrifice for others,” she said.
President Samia said that Easter offers an important opportunity for Tanzanians to strengthen national cohesion and uphold shared values that foster harmony in the society.
She said the occasion should serve as a reminder of the importance of maintaining peace, reinforcing unity and strengthening national solidarity, which are essential pillars for building a prosperous and inclusive nation.
The President further emphasised the need for collective efforts in advancing sustainable development, noting that unity and cooperation remain key in ensuring that the country continues to create opportunities for all citizens.
“This Easter should remind us of the importance of preserving peace, strengthening unity and national solidarity, so that we can continue building a nation with opportunities for all, prosperity and sustainable development for both present and future generations,” she added.
