Africa-Press – Tanzania. TANZANIA President Samia Suluhu Hassan has called on Tanzanians to safeguard the nation’s reputation as a haven of peace and political stability, describing these as the key pillars driving the country’s development.

Speaking today, June 20, 2025, during the inauguration ceremony of the Butimba Water Project in Mwanza Region, President Samia emphasized that without political stability, no meaningful development can be achieved. She reiterated that Tanzania continues to uphold a strong political will to advance national development.

“If we begin to divide ourselves, nothing will be accomplished and this is exactly what some would prefer to see happen. I humbly urge you, my fellow Tanzanian citizens, let us preserve our nation’s reputation. Tanzania is peaceful let us go and remain in peace,” said President Samia.

The Head of State further urged unity and solidarity among Tanzanians, stressing that peace and political stability must be maintained as a foundation for social and economic progress.

“My fellow citizens, when it comes to development Tanzania has made progress. And the political will to continue that development is present and will remain. Let us protect the image of our country peace and stability let us promote political calm so our nation remains peaceful,” she added.

Her remarks come at a time when Tanzania is implementing major strategic projects, with President Samia at the forefront of ensuring that all citizens benefit from development, regardless of political affiliation or differences.
