Africa-Press – Tanzania. TANZANIAN President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who also serves as the Chairperson of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), has announced a number of proposed minor amendments to the party’s Election Manifesto, including a provision to allow party meetings to be conducted virtually.
President Samia made the announcement today in Dodoma during a Special CCM Meeting, stating that the aim of the changes is to align with advancements in communication technology and enhance the efficiency of party operations.
“These are minor changes, but they are very important. For example, allowing meetings to be held online will reduce costs and improve efficiency without affecting the party’s decision-making,” she said.
She added that the party must continue to modernize, with the ability to use technology to improve its performance and communication within the party structure, especially in a rapidly changing global environment.
The special CCM meeting was attended by senior party leaders from various regions, artists, and notable public figures. Alongside other agenda items, they discussed the proposed constitutional amendments aimed at improving the party’s operations and governance in the future.
