Africa-Press – Tanzania. SIMBA caretaker coach Thierry Hitimana said the 1-0 win against a 10-man Polisi Tanzania has helped to ease pressure within and outside the team saying everything will be back to normal soon.

The two teams settled their differences at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday where the hosts continued to be superior to the visitors as the former have not lost any league match to the latter.

The defending champions had to wait until in the 90th minute when Rally Bwalya converted a goal via a spot kick to plaster smile faces on millions of Simba fans who followed the match on the day and were eager to claim the victory.

The penalty incident led to the flashing of a red card to Polisi Tanzania defender Juma Ramadhan who kicked Bernard Morrison on the face in an attempt to clear a low-flying ball inside the box. With the outcome, from three matches played, Simba have picked seven points in the underway NBC Premier League and are slowly stepping upwards to accommodate the top posts on the table.

“We are happy for the good results and as you saw, it was a very tough game with our opponents defending well forcing us to use side penetrations but what I can say is that everything will be okay when the current pressure goes away.

“I am sure that as time goes, we will be improving a lot and so far, I have seen no problems at all with this team,” said Hitimana, who is not new in the country’s football circles.

It was the first win for Hitimana at the helm of Simba in a league game this season which helped him a lot to build self-confidence since he is commanding a results oriented team with big pressure both within and outside. His counterpart for Polisi Tanzania Malale Hamsini was full of praise of his charges saying they really played nice football only that it was not God written for them to win the game.

“We did everything well throughout the match but only one mistake we made was used as an advantage to our opponents by scoring a goal. God did not want us to emerge winners,” he remarked.

His goalkeeper Metacha Mnata said it was just a bad luck for them to lose on the day as they played very well in order to grab three points.

“From the way we played, you cannot blame anyone since each player executed his responsibilities according to the game plan from the technical bench. “Our fans should not turn away from us after this negative results but rather, they need to give us full support because we have plans to achieve big targets this season,” said the former Young Africans shot stopper.

Up next, Simba will welcome Coastal Union at the same venue on Sunday in another critical match for them knowing in advance that clinching another three points on the day will be their top priority.
