Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE District Commissioner of Kinondoni, Saad Mtambule, has encouraged citizens to take advantage of the opportunity to learn the Chinese language, noting that it currently has a strong international market and contributes to both national and community economic growth.
He made the remarks today in Dar es Salaam during an event for awarding Chinese Language prizes, adding that Tanzania and China have various forms of cooperation in different economic sectors.
For his part, Dr. Methew Senga, Director of Research and Publications at the University of Dar es Salaam, said the university has partnerships with the Chinese government, and that the language helps strengthen cultural understanding and various other areas.
Meanwhile, the Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania, Chen Mingjian, stated that China is training teachers in the Chinese language to enhance their skills, promote exchanges across Africa, and advance the development of the language on the continent.
