Africa-Press – Tanzania. TANZANIA’S fruit stakeholders have commended the Tanzania Horticultural Association (TAHA) for helping growers maintain high-quality standards while also connecting them to the global markets.

TAHA has participated in the ongoing Fruit Logistica International Exhibition in Germany, highlighting the country’s horticultural produce and investment opportunities.

The exhibition that began on February 2 and concludes today, February 6, 2026, aims to create a connected, diverse, and future-oriented community for the global produce industry.

Fruit Logistica is the leading global trade show for the fresh produce industry, covering the entire supply chain from production to point of sale, hosting over 2,600 exhibitors and 67,000+ trade visitors, showcasing innovations in fruit, vegetables, technology, and logistics.

Tanzania’s Ambassador to Germany, Hassan Mwamweta, and Njombe Regional Commissioner, Anthony Mtaka, visited the Tanzania pavilion at the Fruit Logistica International Exhibition, where they joined Tanzanian companies in actively promoting the country’s horticultural produce.

The officials praised TAHA for supporting sector stakeholders in maintaining high-quality standards, complying with international benchmarks, and connecting producers to global markets.

TAHA is an apex private sector member-based organization that advocates for the growth and competitiveness of the horticultural industry in Tanzania.

It has been an effective voicing platform for over 20 years, for producers, traders, exporters, and processors of horticultural products such as floriculture, fruits, vegetables, horticultural nuts, spices, and herbs, together with roots and tubers, since its inception in 2004.
