Africa-Press – Tanzania. TANZANIA National Parks (TANAPA) has been awarded the Platinum award for quality achievements 2021 by the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR).

TANAPA is among the 45 institutions from 38 countries globally which won the awards.

The European Award for Quality Achievements (2021) was presented to the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr Allan Kijazi, who is also Conservation Commis- sioner at a gala dinner hosted by ESQR at Dusit Thani hotel in Dubai.

The award puts TANAPA and Tanzania in general on the world map in promoting the tourism industry which to some extent has been affected by Covid -19 outbreak worldwide.

ESQR annually recognises contributions of or- ganisations, companies, public administrations and individuals in providing quality services.

The ESQR’s Quality Achievements Awards programme takes a comprehensive look at the initiatives and strategies that business leaders implement in their companies and organisations; it recognises the efforts of exceptional and talented employers and employees and provides motivation for continuous progress.

According to ESQR, top companies, public administrations and organisations, which excel in their services/products and continue to push the limits of Quality with innovations, receive the Quality Achievements Awards 2021 for their hard work and commitment to quality, in the presence of the international business community.

The award-winning companies, public administrations and organisations are selected by ESQR based on the results of the ESQR’s polls, consumer opinions, and research and market study.

The voters include companies, public ad- ministrations and organisations that have previously received ESQR awards, customers, consumers, suppliers and collabo- rating companies.

This is the second time in which TANAPA has won an award from ESQR.

Last year the authority was awarded the Gold European Award for Best Practices.
