Africa-Press – Tanzania. TANGA: THE Minister for Culture, Arts and Sports, Damas Ndumbaro has inaugurated a training programme for football coaching (Diploma Level B) with 25 participants, in Tanga.

The training is taking place at the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Training Centre at Mnyanjani. Speaking during the launching ceremony on Monday Minister Ndumbaro praised TFF and the institutions providing training to students, emphasising the importance of enhancing skills in the crucial field.

“The government is committed to collaborate with TFF to ensure the sustainability of such training programmes.

“The aim is to produce sufficient coaches and referees with qualifications to compete internationally, thus aiding in the development of top-tier players and supporting both clubs and national teams,” he explained.

The curriculum encompasses a wide array of subjects, including tactical strategies, player development, sports psychology, and match analysis. Moreover, practical sessions and workshops will be conducted to provide hands-on experience to the aspiring coaches.

However, the training programme underscores the government’s commitment to fostering a vibrant sporting culture and promoting excellence in football coaching.

Through such initiatives, Tanzania aims to produce a new generation of skilled coaches, capable of competing at the highest levels on the global stage.

As Tanzania continues its quest for football excellence, initiatives like these are crucial steps towards realising the nation’s sporting aspirations and nurturing a rich footballing heritage.

Furthermore, Ndumbaro inspected the infrastructure of the TFF Sports Centre, which serves as a platform for nurturing young talents from various regions across the country.
