Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Director of Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador John Ulanga, has met and held talks with the Ambassador of Egypt to Tanzania, Sherif Ismail, in Dar es Salaam.
The meeting aimed to review the development of economic diplomatic relations and discuss strategic opportunities for cooperation, particularly in strengthening transport and logistics infrastructure in Tanzania.
The discussions focused on the proposal to expand the Dar es Salaam Port, where the Egyptian government has expressed its interest in contributing to shipping and cargo logistics issues.
Both sides stressed that the strengthening of the infrastructure will stimulate better connectivity and facilitate the movement of commercial goods between the two countries, which will bring significant economic benefits to both parties.
Through this partnership, Egypt aims to leverage its experience in the infrastructure sector to support Tanzania’s efforts to become a regional trade hub.
This move is expected to open new doors for investment and increase efficiency in the supply chain within the African market while building a solid foundation for industrial economic growth through modern transportation systems.
