Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women, and Special Groups, Dr John Jingu, has held discussions with the Financial Sector Deepening Tanzania (FSDT) aimed at strengthening collaboration focused on improving the economic well-being of youth and women in the country.
According to information released by the ministry on Monday, one of the identified areas of collaboration is supporting community financial groups, an initiative aimed at increasing transparency, efficiency, and sustainability of the groups, whose majority members are women and youth.
Additionally, the collaboration also aims to increase capital, promote innovation, and introduce a Joint Program, a platform that will expand economic opportunities and enhance protection services against gender-based violence.
Moreover, the ministry said that it is ready to cooperate with FSDT in all steps that will stimulate economic transformation for citizens, especially youth and women, who are key pillars of the nation’s development.
FSDT is an institution focused on boosting the economy by providing financial support to various groups, particularly women and youth.
