THE Tanzanian government has partnered with the Tanzania Health Alliance (THA) to boost the implementation of community health programmes nationwide.

The agreement was met in a discussion between the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr Seif Shekalaghe and the THA leadership in Dodoma today, March 6, 2026.

During their meeting, the leaders discussed various ways of advancing joint efforts to educate the public on diseases and health challenges, including Hepatitis, mental health issues, and HIV/AIDS, by strengthening health education campaigns, encouraging testing, and promoting preventive measures.

The meeting also aimed to strengthen coordination between the government and private institutions in implementing community health interventions to support the government’s efforts to improve access to quality healthcare for citizens.

During the meeting, Dr Shekalaghe commended the organisation’s efforts and initiatives and pledged the government’s support to strengthen them.

Through the partnership, the Ministry of Health and THA expressed their commitment to continue working closely to ensure the public receives accurate health information, improved preventive and treatment services, and to help build a healthier and more resilient society.
