Tanzania, Japan seal pact on legal cooperation

Africa-Press – Tanzania. Tanzania and Japan have taken a major step towards strengthening ties in the field of law and justice, with a new agreement set to boost knowledge and experience sharing between the two countries.

This was disclosed during the signing of Memorandum of Cooperation between Tanzania’s Ministry for Constitutional and Legal Affairs and the Ministry of Justice in Japan in Yokohama, Japan on Thursday.

The cooperation that aims at promoting cooperation in the field of law and justice was signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry for Constitutional and Legal Affairs, Eliakim Chacha Maswi and the Vice-Minister of Justice of Japan, Morimoto Hiroshi.

At the signing ceremony the both leaders discussed how to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the various legal matters.

During their discussion, the PS ceased the opportunity and invited the Japanese to invest in Tanzania while citing the friendly investment environment found in the country.
