Africa-Press – Tanzania. MEMBER of Parliament for Singida West, Elibariki Kingu, has declared that Tanzania is not a safe haven for individuals attempting to destabilize the country on the basis of religion, ethnicity, or personal interests.

He called upon Tanzanians to continue safeguarding national unity at all costs, emphasizing that the country will not tolerate attempts to sow division.

Kingu made the remarks today, May 26, 2025, while contributing to the parliamentary debate on the budget for the Ministry of Home Affairs for the 2025/2026 financial year in Dodoma.

He warned activists and individuals spreading hatred that Tanzania is not a place for experimenting with instability.

“Tanzania is a country with a strong history of uniting people,” said Kingu. “Our nation has played a key role in helping various African countries achieve peace and unity, Mozambique, Zambia, Namibia, South Africa, the Comoros, and even Uganda. When Kenya experienced political violence a few years ago, it was Tanzania that helped restore peace, unity, and stability.”

Kingu underscored that Tanzanians have been raised on the values of love and true solidarity. “We are children of Mwalimu Nyerere we were not taught arrogance. We do not hate our neighbors; rather, we have always stood at the forefront of supporting those who are oppressed and suffering,” he stated.

Speaking on the role of women in leadership, Kingu expressed pride in Tanzania for having a female president. “We are fortunate to have a mother as our head of state. It is a great source of pride for our country and a symbol that Tanzania stands for justice and equality.”

Furthermore, the MP urged Tanzanians to remain united and to strongly denounce any provocations intended to divide the nation. “We have vowed to protect our country with great zeal and at any cost. These provocations cannot be tolerated,” he stressed.

In conclusion, Kingu called on the country’s defense and security forces to stand firm against any threats that could jeopardize national peace and unity. He also cautioned other nations to recognize Tanzania as a pillar of peace and solidarity across the African continent.
