Africa-Press – Tanzania. SLOVAKIA’s first appointed Ambassador to Tanzania, Ivan Lančarič, has presented Copies of his Credentials to the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Dr Ngwaru Maghembe, following the opening of the Slovak Embassy in Tanzania in December 2025.
The presentation ceremony took place in Dodoma, where Dr Maghembe stated that the opening of the Embassy is evidence of the significant achievements of Tanzania’s diplomacy worldwide under the leadership of President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
Dr Maghembe noted that the move “will serve as a catalyst for strengthening diplomatic cooperation between Tanzania and Slovakia, particularly in the areas of investment, trade, and tourism.”
For his part, Ambassador Lančarič emphasized that the establishment of the new embassy in Tanzania is part of the implementation of Slovakia’s Foreign Policy, which aims to expand its representation across Africa.
He added that the Embassy will not only serve Tanzania but also other African countries, including Zambia, Malawi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Burundi, Gabon, Cameroon, and Equatorial Guinea.
