Africa-Press – Tanzania. A somber mood engulfed residents of Mwanza on Wednesday where a requiem mass for five journalists and a driver who died in the deadly road accident at Busega in Simiyu region was held.
The Journalists were among the 14 people who lost their lives in the Tuesday morning tragedy. One of the victims was Daily News Digital Correspondent in Mwanza, Anthony Gerald Chuwa. He will be laid to rest on Thursday at his home village in Moshi, Kilimanjaro region.
Information Minister Mr Nape Nnauye and Mwanza Regional Commissioner Eng. Robert Gabriel gathered with parents, friends, co-workers and residents at the Nyamagana grounds to pay their last respects to the journalists.
