Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE sweeping water scarcity plaguing Dar es Salaam has been linked to challenges within the country’s national grid, as confirmed by water authorities.
A statement released by the Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Authority (DAWASA) confirms that the affected areas encompass those serviced by the Upper and Lower Ruvu Plants, Wami Plant, Mtoni Water Plant, and the Water Well Plant in Kigamboni.
“It is worth noting that the authority will promptly restore services once the technical fault has been rectified. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,” the statement reads in part.
