Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE 49th edition of Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair has gone the extra mile, with new technologies, innovative products, quality services, and rare investment commanding the run.
The ongoing DITF Fair will be officially blessed by the Zanzibar President, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, who is expected to be the Chief Guest of the global-level fair currently taking place at the Julius Nyerere Grounds along Kilwa Road in Dar es Salaam.
The trade fair, which officially began on June 28, 2025, will climax on July 13 under the theme “Industrial Tanzania for Sustainable Business and Global Competitiveness.” This theme aims to empower local businesses and attract foreign investors to showcase their products and services, strengthen business networks, and drive economic transformation through innovation, fair competition, and industrial development.
This year, the event has attracted participation from over 20 countries across and beyond Africa, with thousands of companies from various sectors in attendance. Exhibitors are showcasing new technologies, innovative products, quality services, and rare investment and international partnership opportunities.
Dr. Mwinyi’s participation at the climax of the trade fair is seen as a gesture of recognition and support for the private sector’s role in economic growth. His presence is also viewed as a symbol of unity within the United Republic of Tanzania in promoting inclusive development between Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.
