Africa-Press – Tanzania. TANZANIA Football Federation (TFF) has released a statement and an apology to football stakeholders and fans for the briefly suspended Kariakoo Derby between Yanga SC and their rival Simba SC at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Saturday.
TFF in its statement released Sunday directed the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) to provide detailed information on the postponement of the game and as well address the fate of the fans, who had paid the entry fee to the Stadium.
“We urge football fans to remain calm while this matter is being solved with expeditiously in accordance with the regulations, while working closely with all stakeholders including the government” reads part of the statement.
TFF said the matter is still being addressed in principle, including holding various meetings, besides meeting the two rival clubs Simba SC and Yanga SC.
