Africa-Press – Tanzania. TINDWA Medical Health Services (TMHS) has today, November 29, 2025, marked its 15 years of health services in Tanzania wth a launch of six companies to involved in healthcare provision and environmental services across the continent.
Speaking during the launch in in Dar es Salaam during an occasion to celebrate the institution’s 15th anniversary – TMHS Group CEO, Dr Chakow Halfan told media outlets in the city that his firm is a Tanzanian provider of all healthcare services from hospitals, distributing medical equipment, deploying health professionals, providing all environmental services and waste management services.
He said that previously the company has been operating as one company but will now have six companies within it that will provide different healthcare services to reach all Africans.
“Today we celebrate the changes that have occurred in the institution for 15 years. We have done a lot of work. We were one company. Now, starting this year, we have divided into six companies. Today, we are launching these six companies. Each company will operate differently. From today, we will not be called TMHS. Instead, we will be called TMHS Group,” Dr Halfan emphasized.
He noted that there will be a Safe Solution company that will provide security services, remote medical will provide health services in remote and dangerous areas, emergency medical service will provide emergency services, health solution will provide services in health centers and hospitals and consultation, west and environmental will be involved in the environment, and TMHS medical supply will be involved in the distribution of medicines and medical equipment to African countries.
“We expect these changes to make us lead Africa and not SADC. We have been leading SADC until today. We were known as leaders in this service. Now we will be leading the whole of Africa in the services we will provide.”
He added, “The market and the need are great. We have ambulances that are needed in the community and there are a large number of them every day. The challenge of affording the cost has been difficult. As we know, in East Africa, the biggest market is in Kenya and then Tanzania.
Dr Halfan said that the advent of universal health insurance, which is starting in Tanzania, will increase the market because the demand is great and they are growing a lot. That is why they provide services to other countries. The need is great and the market for emergency services is becoming bigger.
“Universal health insurance will make it easier, but even now we are serving people with other insurances. While we are saving every Tanzanian, we now have 80 ambulances in the country. So when universal health insurance arrives, we will increase the vehicles to 200,” explained Dr Halfan.
