TPSF throws weight behind business promotion

Africa-Press – Tanzania. The Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) has launched Zonal Buyer-Seller Forums that aim to promote business and investment at regional and district levels.

The TPSF Chairperson, Ms Angelina Ngalula, said recently in Dar es Salaam when celebrating TPSF Day 2022 that the forums aimed at increasing market outreach across the country when she met Chinese Business Chamber of Tanzania.

To gauge the zonal’s success, Ms Ngalula said they “will conduct a two-year evaluation” to check the expansion of the business scope.

The main idea is to increase the number of SMEs and create conducive environment for start-ups and full-fledged businesses to tap the domestic and foreign markets, especially the East Africa Community (EAC), Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) and African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Mr Janaon Huang of Sino Tan Industry Park, who represents the Chinese Business Chamber in Tanzania, said they are very confident to do business with Tanzania.

“Nowadays we are very confident with the environment of doing business here and institutions are well organised,” said Mr Janaon.

TPSF is the country’s focal point for the East African Business Council and provides a platform for the private sector to engage in public-private dialogue at the local, national and international levels.
