Africa-Press – Tanzania. Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB) has officially launched the “Tanzania Shines 2025” campaign, urging Tanzanians to vote for the country’s world-renowned tourist attractions nominated in the upcoming World Travel Awards 2025.

Speaking during the campaign’s launch in Dar es Salaam today, the TTB Marketing Manager, Vivian Temi highlighted that the World Travel Awards have, for over 30 years, celebrated excellence in tourism and hospitality industry worldwide.

In 2024, Tanzania garnered global recognition by winning several prestigious titles, including: World’s Leading Safari Destination,Africa’s Leading Destination, Africa’s Leading Tourist Board (TTB),Africa’s Leading Tourist Attraction – Mount Kilimanjaro and Africa’s Leading National Park – Serengeti

For 2025, Tanzania has been nominated in 14 categories, hence TTB is calling on all Tanzanian citizens to support the country by casting their votes.

Key nominations include: Africa’s Leading Destination, Africa’s Leading National Park – Serengeti, Leading Tourist Attraction – Mount Kilimanjaro and Ngorongoro Crater, Leading Beach Destination – Zanzibar, Best Port in Africa – Dar es Salaam Port and Best Airport – Julius Nyerere International Airport

Additionally, several national parks such as Nyerere, Tarangire, Kitulo, Katavi, and Mahale are representing Tanzania in various unique categories.

Top local tourism service providers have also been nominated, including Zara Adventures, Gosheni Safaris, Gran Meliá, and Serena Hotel.

“This is our time to shine. Let’s show our patriotism by voting and showcasing Tanzania’s natural beauty, rich culture, and unmatched hospitality to the world,” said Temi.

The Tanzania Shines 2025 campaign will be promoted nationwide through radio, television, social media, and partnerships with various institutions. Voting for the Africa & Indian Ocean region is open until May 4, 2025.

In a significant milestone, Dar es Salaam has been chosen to host the Africa & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony—the prestigious awards event where regional winners will be announced on June 28th this year.
