Africa-Press – Tanzania. TTCL Corporation has been reminded to discharge its duties by adhering to professionalism ethics and integrity which are panacea for protecting national security in data and voice communication services.

This was said by Investigation Officer from the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB) for Dodoma region Mr Faustine Malecha when he visited the TTCL pavilion at the ongoing Nanenane exhibitions at Nzuguni grounds in Dodoma region.

Mr Malecha was accompanied by students from the University of Dar es Salaam who are engaging in practical studies at PCCB office in Dodoma.

“Remember to abide by ethics and integrity for positive economic development in your works. TTCL has distinguished itself in providing modern services basing on technological changes.

The corporation provides the best service which is facilitated by the fiber optic cable that enables users to get high quality services,” he said.

Mr Maleche said that the company has been expanding its services to reach majority of Tanzanians especially in rural areas.

He said that since TTCL is a public organisation it has been trusted and given the responsibility of managing the communication infrastructure including the National ICT Broadband Backbone (NICTBB) as well as the National Internet Data Centre (NIDC) which needs integrity in protecting them.

“These are National resources and they play role of the communication infrastructure which is an important link in the area of security, therefore, ethics and trustworthiness cannot be compromised for national development,” he said.

He congratulated the corporation for working hard to deliver communication services to customers, homes and offices through fiber optic cable to homes.
