Africa-PressTanzania. VICE-President Dr Philip Mpango has reiterated the government’s keenness to build and maintain integrity, the rule of law and ethical values in the public service.

Dr Mpango insisted that the values are key to building competitive industrial economy for human development.

Officiating the fourth national prayer breakfast meeting yesterday, the VP said the government under President Samia Suluhu Hassan is committed to fulfill all government’s pledges and plans as articulated in the third Five Year National Development Plan (FYDP) 2021/22-2025/26 is well implemented.

Dr Mpango assured that the government would always observe good governance and rule of law as the basis for economic growth and national prosperity.

He said both the fifth and sixth phase governments have spearheaded and demonstrated by examples, huge commitment in restoring integrity, ethical and value based principles in public service.

The prayer breakfast was organized by the Kingdom Leadership Network of Tanzania (KLNT), with Dr Mpango saying the event came at an opportune time as the government calls for ethical and value based in public service and leadership.

The Vice-President commended the organizers, stating that the breakfast prayer should spearhead joint efforts to see Tanzania moving forward in both social and economic aspects.

He said leaders must lead by setting examples in integrity, ethical and value based principles.

Dr Mpango said KLNT together with Dr Bill Winston through the Joseph Business Centre Chicago in partnership with Ministry of Investment and Economic empowerment are preparing a Tanzania – USA Trade Mission forum later this year.

The VP said the government commends the initiative which will certainly boost the small business development centre and enable it to flourish.

He added that the government values the KLNT initiative, which certainly encourages the public to engage in various activities.

On his part, KLNT Chairman Dr Fredrick Ringo said the goals of the national prayer breakfast meeting was to sensitize and raise leaders into a God fearing, impeccably ethical and committed patriots.
