Africa-Press – Tanzania. YOUNG Africans’ new constitution has been officially registered by the government through the National Sports Council (NSC) and Registrar of Clubs and Sports Associations, the club confirmed Friday.
The statement said the completion of the registration and approval of the club’s new constitution that was passed by members during the Annual General Meeting convened on June 27th , 2021, allows the reform process in the club to continue.
“Young Africans would like to inform our fans and members that the club’s new constitution of 2021 has been officially registered by the government through Sports Registrar Office and National Sports Council (NSC).
“The accomplishment of the new constitution and its registration means the club can now proceed with the transformation procedure as it is stipulated in 2021 club’s constitution,” said club’s statement.
In another development, the club said they have faced serious injury problems in the squad ahead of their crucial Premier League match against Tanzania Prisons this Sunday.
The club’s statement named defender Kibwana Shomari and striker Yusuph Athumani as the players who will miss the match due to injuries.
Congolese striker Fiston Mayele who was doubtful for the clash, travelled with the team to Mbeya and will be available for technical bench’s selection.
“Apart from Yacouba Sogne, we have two new injuries; Kibwana Shomari and Yusuph Athumani who are both injured and we are making an effort for their treatment abroad. Fiston Mayele who was also injured, is going on well and is in the squad that travelled to Mbeya ahead of our game against Tanzania Prisons,”said the club’s Information Officer Hassan Bumbuli.
Bumbuli said that their aim is to clinch all domestic titles their club is competing for and stressed that they are determined to win all their league matches including the one against Tanzania Prisons on Sunday.
“As you have seen, we won comfortably against Ihefu in Azam Sports Federation Cup, we are determined to win against Tanzania Prisons and other league matches since our aim is to win all domestic trophies this season campaign,”said Bumbuli.
Bumbuli also said the club is keen to effectively use the mini-transfer window by picking new players to strengthen their squad as well as giving new contracts to players the club wishes to retain.
Meanwhile, the management of Yanga has announced to have reinstated Yanga Princess Coach, Edina Lema who resigned her role in June this year.
The club said she is now back at the helm of the team.
