Africa-PressTanzania. YOUNG Africans have succeeded to win the signature of Ugandan experienced midfielder Khalid Aucho, who completed his deal of parading for the Jangwani Street based side yesterday.

His arrival will give Head Coach Nasreddine Nabi a wide range of selection of players to start at the heart of the pitch from the likes of Feisal Salum, Mukoko Tonombe and Zawadi Mauya hence enabling squad rotation.

In the many games which Nabi navigated last season, he used to deploy the trio with Feisal playing ahead Tonombe and Mauya thereby succeeding to control the midfield section.

Aucho who plays in the first eleven of Uganda’s senior team ‘The Cranes’ has become the fourth foreign based player to jet in the country and finish his business with the historic champions.

Others who recently sealed their deals are two strikers Heritier Makambo and Fiston Mayele and Malian National team shot stoper Djidui Diarra who will make the club real title contenders for the next season’s Mainland Premier League.

The defensive midfielder recently put the country’s giants Simba and Yanga on a tug of war as each showed interest to get his services but Simba reportedly gave up the chase.

So far, the foreign based players who will be green and yellow next season are Mukoko Tonombe (DR Congo), Tuisila Kisinda (DR Congo), Djuma Shaban (DR Congo), Fiston Mayele (DR Congo), Heritier Makambo (DR Congo), Saido Ntibazonkiza (Burundi), Yacouba Sogne (Burkina Faso), Djigui Diarra (Mali) and Khalid Aucho (Uganda).

Meanwhile, an agent of Yanga goalkeeper Jemedari Said yesterday confirmed that Yanga have at last parted ways with his customer as such, he will not be green and yellow family next season.

Through his Instagram page, Said admitted that Metacha was handed with the release letter yesterday afternoon following the expiry of his contact at the club.

This developed mixed reactions from football fraternity as some of them lauded the club for the decision while others insisted that Metacha could not have been let go saying he is the country’s second best goalie after Simba’s Aishi Manula.

He joined Yanga in 2019 from Mwanza based Mbao FC but his relationship with the Jangwani Street based club began to deteriorate late last season when he was being accused of deliberately letting in some easy goals.

He was once suspended by his club after showing the middle finger to supporters a situation which escalated the sour relationship between the two sides.

With him leaving the club, it means Yanga has remained with three goalies who are the recently signed Djigui Diarra from Mali, Farouk Shikalo (Kenya) and Ramadhan Kabwili (Tanzania).
