AfricaPress-Tanzania: THE Benjamin Mkapa Hospital (BMH) has emerged winners in a category of social services providers in the agriculture exhibition held at zonal level at Nanenane grounds at Nzuguni area in Dodoma City.
The Hospital’s Human Resource Officer, Mr Muadhi Mayunga, who represented BMH Executive Director, Dr Alphonce Chandika, at the Nanenane climax over the weekend here, expressed delight over the institution for emerging a winner.
“Our Hospital has continued to provide free of charge high and super specialised medical services at the Nanenane exhibition in accordance with the Hospital’s mission,” he said after receiving a certificate from the Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office (Disabilities), Ms Stella Ikupa.
While the National Assembly became the second, the National Electoral Commission (NEC) became third in the category of social services providers at the exhibition.
According to a press statement released by the Communication and Public Relations Unit of the Hospital, yesterday, the Hospital uses the exhibition to draw close its medical services to the public.
“The Hospital will use the exhibition to provide free of charge medical services to the wananchi,” read part of the Hospital.
With the theme “For Agriculture Development, Livestock and Fishery, Vote for Ideal Leaders in the General Election 2020,” the exhibition brings together farmers and agricultural companies to showcase their agricultural products.
The statement pointed out that some of the medical services provided by BMH at the ongoing exhibition included free ear medical test, nose and throat from its ENT Department and Eye Clinic.
The statement said the hospital is taking part in the exhibition for the first time, and conducts eye tests for people with vision impairment, adding that anyone, who would be found with vision impairment problems will be provided eye glass at 10,000/-.
“The Hospital’s Eye Department is providing free eye medical services including eye test,” it further pointed out.
