AfricaPress-Tanzania: The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) has announced that a total number of 1,024,007 will sit for their standard seven National Examinations tomorrow and the day after.
Speaking at a press conference in Dar es Salaam early Tuesday (October 6, 2020), the NECTA Executive Secretary Dr Charles Msonde disaggregated the number saying, out of all pupils, boys are 493,289 (48.17 percent) while girls are 530,718 (51.83 percent).
He added that 2,943 pupils with various disabilities will take part in the examinations.
Dr Msonde insisted that preparations for the examinations, including distribution of examination papers, have been accomplished.
