AfricaPress-Tanzania: The Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) has said the death of President John Magufuli is a great loss to Tanzania since the country has lost a righteous leader, patriotic and a hard worker.
Delivering his speech at the requiem mass of President Magufuli in Chato, Geita region, the Conference’s Vice Chairman Bishop Flavian Kassala said church leaders will continue to remember him for his recommendable job in only 5 years in the office.
The Vice chairman who doubles as the Bishop of Geita Catholic Diocese said: “his ‘Hapa Kazi Tu motto remains a light and a vision in our minds and hearts,”Bishop Kassala said.
He assured President Samia Suluhu Hassan that TEC will pray and cooperate with her as the country eyes to achieve its development plans.
Bishop Kassali has extended his condolences to the wife of late Magufuli, Janeth Magufuli and children, the Nation, Africa and all mourners.
