AfricaPress-Tanzania: THE Tanzania Meteorological Agency (TMA) said on Saturday that heavy rains are expected to pound four regions, warning Tanzanians to take precautions.
The statement issued by the weather experts predict the rains to last for at least five days.
According to TMA’s weather forecast alert issued on Saturday, the regions expected to receive the rains are Dar es Salaam, Coast, Morogoro South and Lindi.
The statement further says that the areas which are likely to receive the heavy rains should brace for floods in most areas, which could hamper transport services and houses to be submerged.
“TMA would like to ask residents in the said regions to take precautions and follow weather forecast updates,” reads part of the alert issued by the weather agency.
