AfricaPress-Tanzania: Kishki Online TV has been named the first of its kind in the country for such Islamic channels to receive a cash prize from Youtube USA.
The award (Silver Award) comes after the center, which was established in March last year, reached 100,000 subscribers.
Receiving and announcing the award, the International Preacher of Islamic Religion, Sheikh Nurdeen Muhammad Al-Ahdal, popularly known as Kishki, encouraged Tanzanians to enjoy listening to, watching and reading religious media.
He explained that through religious instruments, people will learn about the various things that Allah wants His creatures to do or leave in order to live well in this world and in the hereafter.
Kishki thanked the station’s more than eight million viewers and especially the registered subscribers who have now reached 120,000 for winning the award and promised that they will continue to provide quality programs as they plan to broadcast their ads via satellite and thus also appear via broadcasters.
“First of all I thank Allah because He said in the Qur’an we should start by thanking Him for anything and then our parents. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said if he does not thank the people he sees then it is also difficult to thank Allah who does not see him, ”he said.
He urged Tanzanians, especially Muslims, not to spend too much time on worldly pursuits as they see religion fleeing as they lack the necessary training for their world and the hereafter.
“When you use your banner to listen to the words of Allah through Kishki TV or other religious stations do not think you are losing. You are rewarded and on the Day of Judgment you will see your reward, ”he said.
Earlier describing the visit of Sheikh Kishki, who has visited more than 15 countries and regions in Tanzania, Ruvuma, Sheikh Abdillahi Massawe said Sheikh Kishki began preaching in Islam in 1995.
Shehe started preaching in the mosques without recording, later we were recording on cassette tapes that some young people today do not know, then on the big Video Home System (VHS) tapes, then on VCD and DVD and as technology changes we are now online TV, ”said Sheikh Massawe.
Some of the programs aired by Kishki Online TV are Street Da’awa (Sermons on the streets), Islam in the Old Books, including the Qur’an, Bulugh al-Maraami, Riadh as Salihiin and what Kishki runs every Friday at 2.30pm on Fadhakir
