Airtel Tanzania and TPB Bank sign partnership agreement

AfricaPress-Tanzania: Airtel Tanzania has announced a new partnership with TPB Bank with the aim of improving and expanding digital financial services in Tanzania such as paying LUKU, DSTV and government utilities like Dawasco and many more.

Speaking in Dar es Salaam on Thursday March 4, Airtel money director Isack Nchunda the partnership  greatly improve the services that they provide across  the country where TPB has a branch.

“ Airtel Money Customers will now be sure to make their transactions absolutely secure wherever they are such as saving or withdrawing money from TPB bank directly into their Airtel Money accounts in order to make various service payments such as LUKU, Water bills , DSTV, or paying government utilities,” said Nchunda.

Nchunda added that agents now do not need to carry cash or travel long distances to get the cash, now they can get services at any TPB branch and this will greatly help in saving time and money that they spend as travel expenses.

“Our partnership with TPB Bank aims to promote innovation in the provision of digital financial services by reducing the impact on our agents or clients when traveling long distances to access services, they will now get the same services at any TPB Bank branch which is closer to them and make all digital transactions via Airtel Money to bank or from bank to Airtel Money,” said Nchunda.

Speaking at the inauguration TPB bank Director of Internet Services, Jema Msuya, said that those who have access to banking services and who have not been reached by banking services wherever they are as they will now receive online services and make digital payments.

“Every time TPB Bank comes up with a more innovative service our goal is to add or provide more solutions to our customers as well as provide them with affordable services while focusing on quality. Our partnership with Airtel Money demonstrates our commitment to providing ambitious, secure services regardless of boundaries services wherever you are. Each of our customers can access our services with their mobile phone from this partnership now.” said Msuya
