AfricaPress-Tanzania: NATIONAL Bank of Commerce (NBC) has launched its Customer Service month with a focus on more innovations and improved customer service engagements with clients.
The one-month event that kicked off on Thursday, saw customers being appreciated by the bank with red carpet welcome among others on the first day of the campaign by the bank.
The clients obviously were delighted with such treats.
“We are dedicating the Customer Service Month to the acknowledgement of, and appreciation of the invaluable role our customers play in making NBC Bank the most profitable commercial bank in the country. This is coming at the same time as we have provided our customers with an array of user-friendly products and services.’’
said Mr Theobald Sabi the bank’s Managing Director as he was officiating the campaign in Dar es Salaam.
The bank is leveraging on Customer Service month as an ideal opportunity to deeply inculcate and improve on the interface with its hundreds of thousands of customers across the country.
“We have been in existence because our customers have trusted the NBC Bank brand and remained loyal for so long, that is why we are celebrating them. NBC Bank has, over the decades, built strong relationships with its rapidly-growing customer base and remains committed to providing them with innovative and responsible financial solutions, which enables them to keep growing,’’ he added.
Speaking during the occasion the bank’s Customer Services Manager, Ms Salama Musa said a range of activities have been planned for both internal and external customers to inspire, appreciate and further reinforce the bank’s commitment towards them.
“During the Customer Service month, we will be visiting several health facilities, we will give out gifts to our different customers, we will visit our customers to get their feedback on our services as well as continue to provide business training to various SMEs,’’ she mentioned.
Commenting on the bank’s services some of its customers said they have been touched by the services provided by the bank not only in serving their money or loan issues but also the bank has been at the forefront in helping them solve various challenges they face in their daily activities.

We definitely wish to continue this association in the long run,’’ said Mr Evance Tegete, the bank’s customer who is the Founder and Managing Director of Watoto Wetu Tanzania Children’s centre based in Dar es Salaam.
