AfricaPress-Tanzania: WITH the ongoing battle with the coronavirus pandemic, members of the public have been advised to go for more online selling and business to avoid unnecessary physical contact and thus control transmission.
This has been simplified through Kupatana.com, which collaborates with Vodacom MPesa to ensure quality and reliable business services. Kupatana. com is a Tanzania’s online trading platform.
A statement issued by Kupatana.com Managing Director, Philip Ebbersten said the company looked forward to lowering advertising fees.
He said Kupatana´s vision was to have successful customers through professional solutions that increased trade in Tanzania.
“Now with the Covid-19 pandemic it is important that people and businesses keep selling and buying, but staying away from crowded places. Kupatana´s platform provides the opportunity,” he explained.
He added: “M-Pesa has been integrated into the platform. As of today, all M-Pesa users will be able to conveniently and automatically upgrade to Kupatana premium ads from a touch of a few buttons.”
Mr Ebbersten said paying clients would access all features as premium users and give themselves a much better chance to sell their products fast.
“We are happy to integrate our service with Vodacom and M-Pesa at the same time as we launch the integration with MPesa. We have lowered our price for our premium clients,” reads part of the statement.
According to Mr Ebbersten, the company provides an offer during Covid-19 to encourage trading from a distance and avoiding crowded places.
“We hope to contribute to limit the spread of the virus and yet keep business going,” he says in a statement made available to ‘africa-press’.
“From today Kupatana offers 80 percent discount on premium ads which will make it more affordable to everyone. All premium ads can be boosted back to the top for an even lower fee.”
For Vodacom users, he said, if one received a discount code from agents would get an extra 10 percent off the price as free ads would remain, but only be up for one week, believing that the model would serve their sellers and buyers equally.
Mr Ebbersten noted that the company would like to see all individuals and businesses accessing the largest marketplace in the country at an affordable fee.
“We give traders who do not have marketing budgets a great platform with more than one million unique potential clients browsing for something to buy,” the statement further says.
