AfricaPress-Tanzania: THE UTT Asset Management and Investor Services (UTT Amis) has extended its regional wings by setting up a new branch in Arusha.

The move by the state-run company seeks to woo in more people into the funds, according to Mr Issa Wahichinende, UTT Amis Director of Operations.

“Dodoma will be our next stop as we endeavor to lure in more customers from the northern tourism circuit,” opined Mr Wahichinende shortly before opening the company’s new branch here at the weekend.

The UTT Amis was further optimistic that his company’s recent increase in funds size will bolster its market size in the country.

The fund management company’s fund size reached 400bn/-as of June this year, thanks to a wide range of lucrative products offered by the state-run company.

Such products include Umoja Fund, Wekeza Maisha, Watoto and Jikimu Income Scheme. Others are Fund Liquid and Bond Fund.

On his part, UTT Amis’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Mr Daudi Mbaga revealed that close to 107,000 Tanzanians had invested with the company.

Mr Mbaga was upbeat that more Tanzanians would join the fund management company with a view of ‘spreading risks’.
