AfricaPress-Tanzania: THOUGH the mission is not accomplished, Simba’s 1-0 victory over mighty Al Ahly deserves a standing ovation since it makes an inspirational start towards the desired goal.

Now parading six points above the rest, Simba look a serious contender this time and with increased efforts, concentration and extra commitment, our envoys may see the CAF Champions League’s quarters prior to the end of six-match assignment.

Simba and the Tanzania envoys in the CAF Confederations Cup Namungo FC must have learnt well that nothing short of hard work, thorough planning and extra efforts play a vital towards the desired goals. Both teams have now become matured to compete in the continental level tournaments and for Simba must now start plotting the downfall of El Merreikh, their tournament’s next opponents.

Following their stellar performance in both CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup our envoys must start now preparing for their next matches. The both CAF level tournaments are crucial for the teams and the country as the success can make the country proud in the 2021 season as the pep talk is over now.

To avoid this season’s hoodoo, our teams ought to have had lengthy time to hone their skills for the looming events, so it is our belief that they are up to the challenge. Simba’s next opponents El Merreikh are very tough and well drilled, but we believe Simba can overcome their threat if they seriously work hard and avoid silly mistakes if they really want to overcome the Sudanese hurdle.

We would like to warn our envoys to be serious as competitors so that they can end North African monopoly when it comes to the continental level events. Players in the teams should strive to demonstrate their skills at both individual and teamwork basis, since the ongoing continental level tournaments also serve as a good market for talented players.

We don’t have to think much to see what the country reaped from the two teams outstanding results in the continental games.

We would again insist the player engaged in the tournaments to work hard for their teams and themselves as we have witnessed that football pays handsomely as an entertaining source of income. We end up by wishing our envoys all the best in their coming continental level tournaments.
