AfricaPress-Tanzania: LAWYER and activist from South Africa, Sabelo Sibanda has hailed President John Magufuli as the beacon of African liberation due to his firm stand in the fight against Covid -19.
The activist said it was time for Africa to unite and stand united in defending the health and resources of its people and not to allow everything to be diverted to the West.
Sibanda, who was brought to the country by Pan African (African Union) activists from the United Kingdom, said this yesterday in Dar es Salaam while speaking to reporters about the corona disease.
“I want you to know that Tanzanians are very lucky to have a leader with a far-sighted vision. We see President Magufuli as a beacon of liberation for African nations due to his stance on many aspects of the corona epidemic, ”said Sibanda.
He said that since the outbreak of the corona, many nations have shut themselves in while economic activity has deteriorated, but even worse, the worst affected nations are those who continue to depend on their people for their livelihood.
He said despite the situation, President Magufuli was praying for God to spare his nation from contracting the disease, not locking his people in but advising them to listen to health professionals by wearing masks, sitting one meter away, washing their hands and using hand sanitizers.
“But also the President has decided to use this problem to reassure the world that even our natural remedies can help and encourage the use of these drugs that have helped significantly reduce the spread of the disease,” said the lawyer.
He also said that President Magufuli has been questioning everything about the disease including deciding to do tests for things like papayas, pineapples and goats and was diagnosed with corona infection, a situation that made the tests questionable.
“For this he was widely criticized by foreign nations but it did not take long for other countries to find out but in corona measurements.
“I want you to know that this is not the first time such tests have been questioned as during the outbreak of Sars cov2 disease about 22 scientists identified problems in diagnostic tests,” he said.
He said he had also expressed concern in foreign-made bridges and further encouraged the wearing of locally made bracelets which was later confirmed by other countries to be authentic.
“The United States is currently investigating some of the country’s most fake fake counterfeiters. For this, this President has shown us the way for Africans to be careful with everything we are brought to use, ”he said.
Corona vaccine In terms of promoting the use of the corona vaccine, the lawyer and activist said President Magufuli should be commended for his stand on the use of the vaccine due to the fact that many of the vaccines advertised are experimental and still dangerous for human consumption. .
“Given Tanzania’s stance of not using vaccines, now this country is under pressure, let’s ask ourselves when President Magufuli gave his stance he had scientific backing behind? (Scientific reference?)” He questioned.
He said President Magufuli’s decision was correct as for about 17 months since the emergence of the corona other countries have been studying vaccines against the disease without success, but how come now suddenly every corner has its vaccine available.
He called on other African countries to follow the example of President Magufuli’s leadership and be united in defending the interests of Africans as no one else will defend and represent Africans but Africans themselves.
Fake vaccines seized Meanwhile South African and Chinese police have seized thousands of fake vaccines against the corona virus.
A report by the Interpol states that 2,400 doses of counterfeit vaccines were found in a warehouse in the Germiston Suburb, just outside Johannesburg, South Africa.
