Africa-Press – Tanzania. RESIDENT John Magufuli has advised the newly sworn-in 21 ministers and 23 deputy ministers to stop avoiding making tough decisions for the betterment of Tanzanians.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony held in Dodoma, President Magufuli said it was better for the ministers to make bad decisions than not to do it at all.
He said if the decisions aim at solving people’s challenges, Ministers and their deputies should not be afraid to make insisting that ‘it is better to make a mistake’ than avoiding to decide.
Meanwhile President John Magufuli has directed Minister of Education Prof Joyce Ndalichako to make sure that History becomes a compulsory subject as a measure to promote patriotism among the young generation.
He has students must understand “where we come from” and well as people who fought for the country’s independence.
