AfricaPress-Tanzania: A total of 350 parliamentarians have on Thursday endorsed Kassim Majaliwa as Prime Minister after being nominated by President John Magufuli.
President Magufuli nominated the 59-year-old Majaliwa to the premiership for the second consecutive term.
Members of Parliament in the country’s in Dodoma endorsed Majaliwa with 350 votes or 100 percent out of the 350 votes cast.
Speaking shortly after the approval, Majaliwa thanked President John Magufuli for re-appointing him and parliamentarians who endorsed his name saying it was a “challenge” to him.
