AfricaPress-Tanzania: President of the People’s Republic of China, XI Jinping has said the passing of President John Magufuli is a great loss for the Tanzania and China’s people.
He expressed that he has been personally shocked by the death of Tanzania’s President John Magufuli.
In his letter to President Samia Suluhu Hassan, President Jinping said Dr Magufuli made positive contributions to the development of China-Tanzania and China-Africa friendly cooperation.
“On behalf of the Chinese Government and People and in my own name, I hereby extend my heartfelt condolences to the deceased and convey sincere sympathy to the Tanzanian Government and People and his family,” he said.
He acknowledged the outstanding achievements by leading Tanzanian people to resolutely safeguard national sovereignty against interference and explore a development path that suits Tanzania’s conditions.
The Chinese President Jinping has assured that his country highly values its profound traditional friendship with Tanzania and wishes to work with the Tanzanian side to promote the China-Tanzania comprehensive cooperative partnership to a new level for the betterment of people from two sides.
