AfricaPress-Tanzania: President Samia Suluhu Hassan on Monday 5 April 2021 revoked the appointment of the new Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) Managing Director, Thobias Mwesigwa, hours after being named as the corporation’s boss.
The President then reinstated Dr James Mataragio as TPDC’s Managing Director and his appointment with immediate effects.
President Samia appointed Mr Mwesiga on Sunday 4, April 2021 as part of her new appointments and transfers of some officials.
According to the State House press statement issued on Sunday, the newly appointed PS and their deputies will be sworn in Tuesday 6, April 2021.
