PRESIDENT SAMIA SWEARS-IN CHIEF SECRETARY, MINISTERS

AfricaPress-Tanzania: President Samia Suluhu  Hassan has sworn-in Ambassador Hussein Kattanga as the new Chief Secretary, replacing Ambassador Dr Bashiru Ally who has been appointed to become a member of parliament.

At aswearing-in ceremony  held Thursday at the State House in Dodoma Thursday, Ministers and deputy ministers  involved on the recently minor cabinet reshuffle also took  their oaths.

Ministers who were sworn-in by the President were Dr Mwigulu Nchemba (Finance and Planning), Ummy Mwalimu (President’s Office responsible for Regional Administration and Local Government Authority (PO-RLAG) and Selemani Jafo as the Minister in the Vice President’s Office (Union and Environment).

Other Ministers who were sworn-in were Prof Palamagamba Kabudi as the Minister of Constitutional and Legal Affairs, Ambassador Liberata Mulamula as the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation and Prof Kitila Mkumbo as the Minister of Industry and Trade.

Geoffrey Mwambe took the oath as Minister in  Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Investment and Capt (Ret) George Mkuchika as the Minister of State in the President’s Office   with no portfolio.
