CHAMA cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Secretary General, Dr Bashiru Ally has called upon Tanzanians to remain united and never allow political differences to divide them.

He made the remark while addressing CCM leaders in Bukoba Municipal Council, yesterday, adding: “You should also avoid being influenced to elect people into positions, simply because they give you money, because such people are politically bankrupt and have no agenda beneficial to you.”

“As the nation moves towards the October general elections, Tanzanians should be on guard and report people with bad intentions, who want to divide people and plunge the country into chaos. “We should avoid repeating past mistakes, but instead elect committed leaders, who are ready to serve the citizens steadily.”

He noted that Bukoba Urban Constituency has for the past five years (2015- 2020) been led by the opposition- Chadema party, adding: “But it was high time to elect a Member of Parliament (MP) from the ruling CCM.”

In a related development, Dr Ally challenged District Executive Directors (DED), to identify projects in agriculture, livestock and fisheries, which could add revenue to their councils.

He also called on leaders to sensitize the citizens on the benefits of having multibillion projects in their areas being implemented by the fifth phase government under President John Magufuli.

Expounding, the Secretary General cited them as tarmac roads, construction of new steamers in Lake Victoria, the new B uses Ferry and free education in Primary and Secondary Schools countrywide.

“Do not hesitate to publicize the success recorded by the CCM led government. This is a big incentive as we prepare for the  October general elections,” he added.
