SAMIA: WE WILL CONTINUE TO ATTRACT INVESTORS

AfricaPress-Tanzania: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has said Tanzania continues to improve the business environment to attract more investors.

A statement from the Director of Communications at the Presidential Palace, Jaffar Haniu stated that President Samia made the remarks yesterday at the State House in Dar es Salaam when he met and spoke with the Special Envoy of the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E), Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan.

The press release stated that President Samia thanked the U.A.E for continuing cooperation with Tanzania.

He promised Sheikh Al Nahyan, who is also the Minister of State for the two kingdoms, that the government would develop relations for the benefit of the two sides and that the U.A.E is an important partner in Tanzania’s development and have helped improve infrastructure, especially roads and trade.

President Samia was grateful to receive an invitation to attend the Dubai International Trade Fair (Dubai Expo) which is expected to take place in March next year.

President Samia said there had been an increase in trade equity between the two countries year after year.

Sheikh Al Nahyan thanked President Samia for continuing cooperation with the United Arab Emirates and handed him a letter with a message from the King of the U.A.E, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The king conveyed his condolences to President Samia over the death of the President of the Fifth Phase Government, John Magufuli and congratulated him for holding the leadership of the country.

He said the U.A.E will continue cooperation and relations with Tanzania including supporting gender equality and women’s rights especially considering that President Samia is a role model for women in Tanzania and the world at large.

Shehe Nahyan said the U.A.E supported President Samia’s efforts to fight Covid-19 and said the coalition was ready to vaccinate Tanzania.
