SPEAKER NDUGAI SWEARS-IN THREE NEWLY APPOINTED MPS

AfricaPress-Tanzania: Speaker Job Ndugai has on Thursday (April 1, 2021), administered oaths to three newly nominated Members of Parliament, Ambassador Dr  Bashiru Ally, Liberata Mulamula and Mbarouk Nassor Mbarouk.

The three new lawmakers were nominated by President Samia Suluhu Hassan on Wednesday, where she also made a minor cabinet reshuffle.

The three new MPs have been sworn in ahead of cabinet swearing-in ceremony at Chamwino State House in Dodoma Capital city later today.

President Samia on Wednesday nominated Amb Dr Bashiru, Liberata Mulamula and Mbarouk Nassor Mbarouk to become MPs in the 12th Parliament.

The President subsequently tweaked the cabinet, bringing in four new faces and relocating nine others, to increase efficiency in her government.

The Parliament business has been adjourned to Tuesday next week to give MPs an opportunity to join their families during the Easter season.
