But he also said there are many digital projects in Tanzania that require investment from China.

Chinese President Xi Jinping recently stated, “The digital economy is the catalyst for the future development of the world” and made various recommendations on global digital governance and the development of a global digital economy. What is being done between Tanzania and Chinese digital companies, is in line with President Xi’s proposals.

The prime minister also spoke of China’s continued openness to its global market, and encouraged jointly building the development of a “One Belt and One Road” brand, launching a global freelance network that opens up to the rest of the world.

Ambassador Kairuki said the successful implementation of the “one zone, one way” proposal is a good opportunity for various countries in terms of investment, and especially in infrastructure.

He said China and Tanzania are already cooperating and expect to cooperate more in the area of ​​infrastructure construction.

He gave an example of the completed project of Kijazi Ubungo Dar es salaam bridge, the expansion of the Dar es salaam port, the construction of a bridge in Kigoma region, as well as a project that is about to start later this year on the central railway section.
