AfricaPress-Tanzania: REFEREES have been urged to be fair throughout the remaining matches of the top flight league so that real winners should be identified from their sweat on the pitch and not via bias.
This was said by Alliance FC Head Coach, Kessy Mziray who has a big task ahead to ensure that he saves his side from the relegation threat as they are not completely safe on the log.
From their 29 games, they have attained 29 points equivalent to pocketing one point from every match they have played as they occupy 17th slot hence they must win as many games as possible in their remaining clashes.
But speaking recently, the coach said playing at one centre (Dar es Salaam), will be a just move if referees will strictly apply the 17 rules governing the game of football fairly.
“What we want is for the teams which are well prepared to emerge winners and those with poor preparations should possibly be relegated to let new teams into the league for next season,” Mziray said.
He added that he is not aware what period will be given by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) for teams to prepare before the league resumes.
“This is our second season to trade in the top flight league and we have learned many things, but, I strongly believe that my boys will come afresh to finish the marathon on the good position and to play again in the next season,” he said.
Moreover, Mziray said next season, they need to balance the team well by acquiring both junior and experienced players so that the former should learn from the latter.
On his part, the owner of the team James Bwire sounded unfortunate for his club saying this season, they have not won any match while playing in Dar es Salaam.
“We stayed there (Dar es Salaam) for almost one month when playing our away games, but we lost all of them. We had a belief to do well in our six home games remaining on the chart before it was announced that the season will be completed in Dar es Salaam,” he said.
