AfricaPress-Tanzania: The Al Ahly delegation consisted of officials and players welcomed by Simba officials.
According to Al Ahly’s website, “Simba SC officials said that this warm reception comes in return for the kind treatment they receive from Al Ahly officials when they arrive in Egypt.”
Egypt’s ambassador to Tanzania, Mohamed Gaber Abo El Wafa welcomed the delegation at the Airport and later held a meeting Mohamed El Damaty, the club’s board member and the head of Al Ahly’s delegation.
Egypt’s giants are at the top of Group A on goal difference, followed by Tanzania’s side Simba SC.
Al Ahly won 3-0 against Al Mereikh while Simba beat AS Vita Club 1-0 in their respective first encounters.
